Parameter estimation involves the use of sample statistic to estimate population parameter.It consists of point estimation and interval estimation.Point estimation is referred when the estimate is a single number from a sample.Interval estimation for a population parameter use sample data to calculate a range of possible values containing the true value of the parameter with a given level of confidence 1-a.
